Meet The Team
Maulana Zubair is a Founding Partner at Tuyoorul Jannah. Graduating as an alim from Daryl loom Bury in 2005, he has since been striving to serve the local community and has taught in a variety of settings. Alongside his work at Tuyoorul Jannah, Maulana also serves as a social worker in the Lancashire area having completed his BA in social work at UCLan in 2010. In addition to this he has been working for the Lancashire County Council as a SENDO – Special Educational Needs & Disability Officer since Feb 2015 and lately working for the Learning Disability & Autism team.
Apa Rubena is a qualified Science teacher who teaches at Taheedul Girls High School. Inspired by her brother’s experience of SEN in the madrasah system she resolved to do something about it and is a Founding partner at Tuyoorul Jannah. She has taught in a variety of madrasah settings since graduating from Hidayatul Banaat in 2005 and brings her experience, lots of enthusiasm and excellent ideas to the team!
Studying in his final year doing a BA Hons in Education and professional studies at the University of Central Lancashire to become a primary school teacher. Hafiz Zakwan completed the memorisation of the holy Quran in 2011 at the age of 16. Hafiz Zakwan has experience in working with primary aged children and children with special needs from 2012 in particularly those with visual impairment.
Zainab Patel is an experienced teacher at Tuyoorul Jannah. Graduated with a BA in Education and Inclusion, she has always been an active member in the community volunteering in different establishments and has taught a varied range of children from different backgrounds and abilities developing their Islamic spirituality. She is currently working in a TA role at a local school in Blackburn.
Graduated as an alima at Masjid Hidayatul Banat 2006, taught in a couple of Madrasah after graduation. 8 years experience working with her daughter who had a neuromuscular dystrophy condition which meant being on a life support machine all her life. This experienced has motivated and inspired her to work with children with disabilities. She is currently working with Blackburn with Darwen council as a RCCSW (supporting children with disabilities) and play an active part in supporting parents who have children with any form of disabilities.
Apa Hafeeza graduated from Aalima course in 2017 and is currently studying for BA (Hons) in History and Politics. Having undergone 3 years of mentored training, she is enthusiastic and brimming with fresh ideas for lessons.
Zainab Dasu is an experienced TA working at Taheedul Girls High School. She has vast experience in supporting children with visual impairment, speech and language, learning difficulties and also reads and teaches Braille.
Asha is an undergraduate studying on the BA honours Education studies degree . An aspiring teacher who uses social media to spread the message and aims of Tuyoorul Jannah.
